Window Adjustment After Installation
Securing the frame is not the final step. After installation, the contractor should check the operation of the sashes, handles, and locking points. The window should open and close smoothly without excessive resistance. The sash should not rub against the frame or sill.
Even pressure against the seals is equally important. A poorly adjusted sash may not provide proper airtightness or security. The windows should also be inspected again after construction work is complete. New buildings and heavy window structures may continue to settle slightly over time.
